I am so excited about this post and Montessori Services giveaway!
This holiday season, let’s make a pact to get our children involved in preparing the extraordinary feasts I know we’ll all be enjoying. Children want to be involved in the daily activity of the home. Developmentally, children are driven to do, to practice, to repeat. To not allow children the freedom to follow through with this innate desire would be detrimental to them. There are safe and relatively easy ways to get them involved this holiday season. My son likes to peel and slice carrots and he is particularly excited to mash potatoes. Kids can even slice apples for pie! There are many possibilities! I am here to help you achieve that goal.
Involving children in the process is inconvenient and less efficient, I’ll be honest. However, the short-term pain that we adults will feel is no rival to the long-term huge benefits of giving our children the opportunity to “do it themselves”. They will gain confidence and develop independence, not to mention they will develop valuable life skills in the kitchen and hone their fine motor skills.
Montessori Services generously sponsored this giveaway. This company is absolutely wonderful. The products they offer us adults – parents and teachers – are high quality and reasonably priced. Plus the customer service is top notch. Indeed, they are a pleasure. I am thrilled to be able to offer you an 8 Product Kids in the Kitchen Package to help you get your child more involved in the food preparation this holiday season. It’ll be fun and your child will get a lot from the experiences!

My daughter is 3 and I home preschool. I found out about Montessori when I taught preschool years ago. We didn’t use Montessori at my school so I didn’t learn about the specifics until a few years ago when I decided to homeshoool my daughter.
