I had a really great day of learning how to implement history within Montessori. The short story: for the 3 to 6 year old children, history is about the passage of time (e.g. seasons) and the duration of time (e.g. 5 minutes). Also, children at this age still need concrete, hands on ways to learn and to develop their brains. A longer post on philosophy and more specific lessons is coming but I wanted to share a few items that came highly recommended to me on teaching preschoolers and kindergarteners how to tell time. Enjoy! Marnie

I’m so glad I found this post through “Say It Two Ways Thursdays.” I’ve just been looking for some good resources for telling time in preschool. So far I’ve found a self correcting puzzle and I was planning to order “Telling Time with Big Mama Cat.” I will definitely be checking out your recommendations. Thank you!
Great resources!! Thank you for sharing at Sharing Saturday!
