I couldn’t resist it. My mother-in-law shipped out my husband’s matchbox collection, and the light bulbs went off crazily for my preschooler. My son wanted to “dig in the sand.”
So…what the heck…it is cold and rainy in Seattle…We had a bunch of super fine sand left over from a beach sensory tub last summer (if you go to a pet store, it is in the reptile section)…
…and every once and a while, you’ve got to say, “really, what is the big deal?” The clean-up wasn’t too bad. I rolled the mat up and dumped it outside, then I swept (With my toddler’s help, of course) the floor, then I vacuumed the floor.
Indoor Sandbox for Kids
Not a lot of time and no big deal, especially for the amount of joy it brought my sons for HOURS. I’d do it again, hands down.
Have fun! Get messy! Drag out the vacuum! Call it a day! Come back and visit soon!
