Spring Themed Dominoes – Math Game for Preschoolers

SHARE THIS POST:

Dominoes are a fantastic way to introduce mathematical thinking through pattern play. Plus, who doesn’t like a bit of competitive play? I made a set of spring-themed dominoes that, if I do say so myself, are quite adorable.

I used a REAL image of a wheelbarrow. I created the dominoes according to tradition. I hope you enjoy these spring-themed dominoes, a wonderful math game for preschoolers!

Spring-Themed Dominoes – Math Game for Preschoolers

If you need a quick reminder of how to play dominoes, here you go! Even though there are “specific” rules for playing dominoes, you can really get creative with how you play the math game with preschoolers.

You can get as simple or as complicated as the game will allow depending on the development ranges and skills of the children playing the game.

I created this FREE spring dominoes download available in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Download it and give me some feedback on TPT. I really appreciate it.

The approach is quite easy and simple. I printed the dominoes on card stock, cut them, and then laminated them for my sons. I presented the game for fun. The boys loved the mini wheelbarrows especially since it looks just like their wheelbarrows.

Have fun and enjoy the impending spring! We’re definitely already feeling it here in the Pacific Northwest.
