Easy Gift for Dad from Kids

SHARE THIS POST:

My husband isn’t going to be home to celebrate Father’s Day properly. So we’ve given him a few things over the week. My husband is an extremely supportive partner. I always knew he’d be a great father but he exceeded all my expectations. He is an ultimate family man. His greatest Father’s Day Gifts from Kids would be to spend the day with his sons. I am very fortunate.

Last year I saw this free Father’s Day printable on Positively Splendid and fell in love! Last year we replicated it with her amazing FREE printables. This year we updated the photos to include the above images. My husband keeps this frame in his office at work.

Next, I downloaded this FREE Father’s Day interview once again on Pinterest. I asked both my sons the questions. My 2.5-year-old was only in the mood to answer “poopie” to every question with a giant giggle. I let it go and moved forward with my four year old who had some really great answers.

I then went on over to Pint Sized Productions and created a simple board book. For each question & answer, I placed a photo of my husband and my older son over the past four years. The book came out darling. I think my husband was really touched.

So that is that. I may get him a cool new Toolbox, or something manly like that, but this guy is a one that needs to buy things for himself. In the nearly 11 years I have known him, I have bought him two shirts. True story.

I hope you and your family have a lovely and warm Father’s Day no matter who you chose to celebrate that day. I grew up without a father and so we always celebrated my mother (which is kind of cool) and my grandfather.

Teachers were incredibly supportive and empathetic to those of us without a father. Same for Mother’s Day. I didn’t realize how remarkable that treatment was until I grew up. Amazing community.

I hope we inspired you today!
