I couldn't resist doing this super cool Borax activity. A great way to integrate basic science concepts into an activity and have a very cool result to display!
So, with my first go at the infamous Borax crystal, I decided to celebrate the Earth!
We used this recipe.
You will also need a pencil and something to tie your Earth onto the pencil. We used dental floss but you could use yard, string or a pipecleaner.
I boiled and poured into the vase enough water to cover the pipecleaner hanging by, in my case, floss. You'll want 3 tablespoons roughly for every cup of water, dissolve the Borax so the water becomes cloudy.
