Preschool Songs for Father's Day

Preschool Songs for Father’s Day

I can’t think of a wrong time for a song in a preschool classroom!

  • Bathroom time
  • Transition songs
  • Circle time
  • Songs that go with an activity
  • Clean up songs
  • Singing on the playground
  • Singing while you go for a walk
  • Earth Day
  • New Year

One of the best things about singing with preschoolers is that they love just about any song you come up with!  It doesn’t matter which tune you copied or if it is an award-winning original.

Music and song will bring your class together and engage them in learning!

What are the Benefits of Song?

  • Increase vocabulary
  • Strengthen memory
  • Teach skills
  • Introduce new ideas
  • Connect with people
  • Encourages reading skills
  • Foster love of language
  • Improve transition time

Father’s Day Songs for Preschoolers

DADDY (to the tune of Bingo)

I love him and he loves me

And Daddy is his name-O

D-A-D-D-Y

D-A-D-D-Y

D-A-D-D-Y

And Daddy is his name-O

One Little Daddy (Tune of “One Little, Two Little”)

One little, two little, three little hugs.

Four little, five little, six little hugs,

Seven little, eight little, nine little hugs,

Ten little hugs for Daddy.

One big, two big, three big hugs,

Four big, five big, six big hugs,

Seven big, eight big, nine big hugs,

Ten big hugs for Daddy

Hush Little Baby (Daddy instead of Mommy)

Hush little baby, don’t say a word,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a mockingbird.

And if that mockingbird won’t sing,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a diamond ring.

And if that diamond ring turns to brass,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a looking glass.

And if that looking glass gets broke,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a billy goat.

And if that billy goat won’t pull,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a cart and bull.

And if that cart and bull turn over,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a dog named Rover.

And if that dog named Rover won’t bark,

Daddy’s gonna buy you a horse and cart.

And if that horse and cart fall down,

You’ll still be the sweetest little baby in town!

Thank you Dad (Tune of Jingle Bells)

Thank you, Dad

Thank you, Dad

Thanks for loving me.

Hugs and kisses, hugs and kisses,

Comes to you from me.

Thank you, Dad

Thank you, Dad

You are such a friend.

On this day I’d like to say,

On you, I can depend.
