All About Reading – My Top Pick for Rockin’ Summer Language Learning

You know that mix of emotions that delivers both total excitement and total panic for the summer months?

Come on. I know you’re with me.

So, what do I do? How do I reconcile these conflicting emotions?

Well, I don’t sit with the feelings for too long. I am a doer. I am a problem solver.

Still, my dilemma is that I loath planning (especially over planning) and over-scheduling my family’s life. So, how do I keep my kids on their toes this summer.

Like many of you, I believe in a solid structure with wide parameters. So, well planned environment with lots of liberty.

Does that approach ring a bell? (Ah-hem. Montessori.)

My husband is totally on board. So, our loose approach is four fold: hands on outdoor learning a la my Montessori Summer Activities Challenge (also check out my Taking Montessori Outside series), adventures such as rock climbing, camping, and visiting Seattle, and some ‘sit down’ activities that will help out sons develop good habits of focus and self regulation.

Which is why I am ridiculously excited to get my hands on our summer language program, which includes the rock star All About Reading curriculum, with my boys!

All About Reading‘s program is fun and engages kids (and adults). I especially adore this program because of the ease at which I can implement the learning activities. Plus All About Learning has amazing resources pages with loads of FREE downloads.

6 Reasons we love All About Learning:

  1. Easy to prepare
  2. Presented with light text, which helps to not overwhelm the child (or the adult)
  3. Embraces the Multi-Sensory Orton-Gillingham approach, which is in line with Montessori
  4. Tracking progress is made simple
  5. Suitable for a wide range of ages and learning styles
  6. Amazing, friendly support

You have to check it out. I promise the program will make you and your child smile. Say goodbye to excitement and panic. Say hello to joyful learning!

Let me know how it goes!
