I am a huge fan of essential oils for families. I start the day with oils and end the day with oils, integrated into my life seamlessly. One great part about essential oils is how easy it is to incorporate them into activities with kids.
One of my favorite parts of this essential oils blog is the DIY Series. They often feature fun and easy activities to do with kids like Moon Sand, Bubbles, and Honey Suckers. So many fun essential oils activities for kids. What a great way to learn about plants, your body, smells, and chemistry!

Essential Oil Soap Making Activity for Kids
We tried our hands at making soap recently. This soap making activity is a lot of fun to do with kids and really easy to make happen.
Materials for DIY Soap Activity with Kids
- Soap Base
- Liquid Colors
- Fun Shaped Silicone Molds
- Essential Oils (we used cinnamon, peppermint, and lemon)
The soaps are really easy to make and kids can get involved in the process of cutting the soap base, adding colors, and adding the oils. I will refer you to Doterra’s blog on making soap for more details on the process.
Soaps make a great gift for any time of year for anyone! I can’t wait to make some for my sons’ teachers at year end. The possibilities are endless with shapes, smells, and colors.
Hope you have fun! Let me know how it goes for you!
