The BEST Workbooks for Kids

Montessorians avoid workbooks and worksheets in the learning environment. I appreciate the hands-on learning with built-in control of error and isolation of quality.

Yet, there are times when a worksheet and a workbook provided much needed and effective practice for kids. This practice solidifies the concepts in their developing brains. Finally, the practice can be fun & engaging!

This list of the BEST workbooks for kids prooves that point!

Summer Brain Quest

We love Brain Quest SUMMER workbooks. The summer workbooks are just as packed with great learning material but the workbook comes with a map that allows the children to add stickers as they make progress. This simple difference (from the standard Brain Quest workbooks) engaged my kids ten-fold.

Mindware Perplexors

I discovered these logic workbooks a few years ago when my son's teacher recommended we stock up for the summer months. Kids love these logic puzzles. The Perplexors Series comes in a few different themes such as STEM and math specifically. My boys love them all.

The Everything Kids: Puzzle Book

This workbook literally has "everything". Puzzles galore including mazes, decoding activities, tic-tac-toe, hangman, crosswords, word finds, and so much more!

KenKen Puzzles

Careful, these puzzles are addicting for kids and adults. They just might make your brain a bit sharper, too.

Spy School Math Adventures

Add a little adventure to your learning with this series of workbooks for kids.
